Philippines to hold 1st Public Forum on Palliative Care and 1st Southern Philippines End-of-life nursing education consortium

WHPCThe Philippines | Dr Karin Garcia, an APHN council member from the Philippines sector, has written to APHN about efforts in the Philippines to increase awareness about Palliative Care in the country.

There will be 2 first-of-its-kind events lined up to celebrate the World Hospice & Palliative Care day, with the theme “Who Cares? We Do!”

The public forum on palliative care, organized by the Philippine Cancer Society, will be held at University of the Philippines College of Medicine (UPC) on Thursday, 16 October 2014. APHN Chairman, Assoc Prof Cynthia Goh, and Family & Palliative Care Medicine Specialist, Dr Agnes Bausa-Claudio, will be the speakers at this event.
