2019 APHN Webinar Series

The APHN Webinar Series continued in 2019 with four webinar sessions on the following important topics:

TopicSpeaker
Management of Delirium Dr Naveen Salins (India)
Palliative Care Assessment Dr Noreen Chan (Singapore)
Pain Management Dr Sushma Bhatnagar (India)
Palliative Care in ICUs Dr Poi Choo Hwee (Singapore)

Our webinar series had been broadcasted in a total of 10 regions over the past year: Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. From those 10 regions, we have had 35 institutions join us as host sites for our webinars.

Each session had garnered around 500 participants from all over the Asia Pacific region. The one hour webinar session was broken into 45 minutes of a pre-recorded lecture and 15 minutes of a question and answer segment where the speaker answered questions posted by the participants on a live chatroom. Through this series, we were able to provide educational materials to those in developing and developed countries. It also provided an incredible networking opportunity for the participants who attended the session at the host sites as they were able to interact with palliative care professionals from within or outside of their institution.

We would like to thank our speakers for taking the time out of their busy schedules to help us with the webinar sessions. We would also like to thank our host sites for hosting the sessions at their institutions, making it possible for many people to have the opportunity to expand their knowledge.

The APHN webinar series will continue in 2020 as we strive to touch on more important palliative care related topics and extend our reach to more regions and institutions.

If your institution is interested in joining APHN as a host site or if you wish to find out more about our webinar series, please drop us an email at aphn@aphn.org. We hope to see more of you joining us in 2020!
