About
During the observership, participants will shadow palliative care teams to learn what a hospice palliative care service is through experiential learning and immersion with patients and the palliative care team in the clinical setting.
At the same time, participants will have opportunities to interact with the doctors, nurses, social workers and other palliative care team members at separate visitations. A briefing will be conducted for participants before the visit regarding the protection of patient’s personal privacy and conformation to ethical procedures.
They will also be assigned readings providing an overview of palliative care services and developments around Asia and the Pacific region.
This is a great opportunity to experience, learn, and network with professionals from the palliative care field.
