APHN Atlas of palliative care in the Asia Pacific Regions 2025

The APHN Atlas of Palliative Care in the Asia Pacific Regions 2025 offers the most in-depth overview to date of palliative care development across the region. Developed with data provided by around 120 consultants and leaders of national palliative care organisations, the Atlas presents country-level insights guided by the latest WHO frameworks. It maps key indicators across policy, services, education, and access to medicines—offering a clear picture of progress and persistent gaps across the region.
The Atlas is promoted by the ATLANTES Global Observatory of Palliative Care of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN).
The Launch
This pioneering research was presented by Prof. Carlos Centeno of the ATLANTES Global Observatory of Palliative Care on 24 April 2025 at the 16th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference 2025 in Kuching, Malaysia.
