Dear APHN Members,
The 20th Council of the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network has passed a resolution to update our membership subscription model. This is to facilitate a more efficient model, making membership renewals easier for all members.
Our current model, based on an anniversary renewal cycle, shall be converted to a calendar year cycle from 1 Jan 2021 and this update shall be completed by 31 Jan 2021.
All active members as of 1 Jan 2021 shall receive complimentary membership extensions to 31 Dec of the year their membership expires before they receive reminders for renewal.

Appendix
Scenario A
Person A’s membership is set to expire on 4 April 2021. Based on the new model, Person A will receive a complimentary membership extension to 31 Dec 2021. Hence, Person A will only need to renew their membership on 1 Jan 2022.
Scenario B
Person B’s membership is set to expire on 4 April 2022. Based on the new model, Person B will receive a complimentary membership extension to 31 Dec 2022. Hence, Person B will only renew their membership on 1 Jan 2023.
Scenario C
If Person C decides to join or renew at any point in the year, Person C’s membership will begin with date of payment to the end of the calendar year i.e. if Person C joins in June 2021, Person C’s membership shall expire on 31 Dec 2021
