APHN dialog 3 - Management of Cancer Wound

Our 3rd and LAST dialog session will be held on 30 March 2016, from 5 – 6pm (GMT+8). We are honored to have Assoc Prof Edward Poon from Singapore to present on the topic, “Management of Cancer Wound”.

About the speaker

Assoc Prof Edward Poon is a recognized clinical leader, educator and researcher in palliative care nursing in Singapore. He has 17 years of experience working in the field of palliative care. During this time, he has helped to set up palliative care teams, the caregiver training centre and the programme to teach and support the caregiver. He has presented numerous research articles at local and international conferences. He was also awarded the prestigious President Nurses Award and the Healthcare Humanity award for his contribution. Currently, he chairs the Palliative Care Nurses Chapter, which supports palliative care nursing research, education, practice and administration at a national level. Besides being an advocate in palliative care, he also conducts education courses in palliative care. He is currently the Chief Nurse at Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital, where he setup the palliative care team and the transitional home care team.
