The welcome session on 27 Feb 2025 was a heartwarming gathering, marking the beginning of the second batch of participants in the Psychosocial Care for Advanced Illness Patients Workshop. It was truly inspiring to see individuals from all walks of life— 31 dedicated healthcare professionals including six doctors, two nurses, 15 social workers, and eight volunteers—coming together with a shared commitment to improving palliative care services.
A special note of appreciation was extended to the 12 dedicated faculty volunteers from across Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China, whose contributions are instrumental in making this program a success. Their generosity in sharing knowledge and expertise continues to strengthen the field of palliative care.
This eight-month online course will equip participants with essential skills and knowledge, culminating in an onsite graduation conference in Beijing. APHN is proud to uphold its mission and vision through education, empowering more professionals and volunteers to provide compassionate care for those in need.
