Come join us for our fifth and final session of our 2025 Webinar Series! This time our topic will be on ‘Rehabilitation in Palliative Care: Exploring techniques to enhance patient mobility, quality of life, and independence through rehabilitation services in a palliative setting’ held on 4 December 2025, 2:30-3:30 pm (Singapore time). It will be a live 1 hour session on Zoom with a Q&A segment at the end with the speakers.
For this session, we are honoured to have Luca Lucchesi (Australia), Dr Julie Brose (Australia) and Low Su Jiun (Malaysia) as our speakers!
Luca Lucchesi is a Senior Physiotherapist at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, working predominantly within the Community Palliative Care Service. He has over 20 years of experience in palliative care and holds postgraduate qualifications in Leadership in Health and Human Services. He established one of Melbourne’s first dedicated palliative care exercise programs and is a strong proponent of the vital role Allied Health plays in helping people achieve meaningful goals throughout their care journey.
Dr Julie Brose is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Perron Institute and the University of Western Australia, specialising in qualitative research to strengthen the systems, services, and policies that shape health and wellbeing. Her work spans palliative care, neurodegenerative conditions, advanced cancer, public health, and supporting vulnerable populations across the life course. Dr Brose is co-chair of the European Association for Palliative Care Taskforce on Rehabilitation in Palliative Care. She worked as an occupational therapist for over 20 years across hospital, hospice, community, and home care settings in Australia, Canada, and China.
Su Jiun has a honours degree in physiotherapy, she is passionate about empowering patients to optimise their function while maintaining comfort and dignity through a holistic approach. With a growing interest in palliative care, she works to develop and strengthen rehabilitation services within Hospis Malaysia. Hospis Malaysia is a community-based palliative care provider that delivers home-based services to support patients and families throughout their care journey.
