Come join us for our first session of our 2026 Webinar Series! This time our topic will be on ‘Therapeutic Communication‘ held on 19 January 2026, 2:30-3:30 pm (Singapore time). It will be a live 1 hour session on Zoom with a Q&A segment at the end with the speaker.
For this session, we are honoured to have Prof CHOW Y.M. Amy from the University of Hong Kong as our speaker.
Speaker Bio
Professor Chow is the Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, and Si Yuan Professor in Health and Social Work at the University of Hong Kong. She has a background as a registered social worker specializing in bereavement counselling and is the founder of the first community-based bereavement counselling centre in Hong Kong. She has formerly acted as Secretary of the Association for Death Education and Counselling (ADEC) and Board Member of the Asia Pacific Hospice Network (APHN). As a recognised translational scientist in thanatology, Professor Chow was elected as the Chairperson of the prestigious International Workgroup on Death, Dying and Bereavement. Currently, Professor Chow is the Director of the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project and Associate Director of Sau Po Centre of Ageing, and serves local and international organisations in leadership roles.
