Free Streaming for Palliative Care Wards “Invitation to Outer Space” Orchestra Concert

For APHN Organisational Members:

Palliative care wards (for patients who are unable to return home or go out)

Program Highlights:

  • Orchestra performance by Hayabusa Symphony Orchestra
  • Special pre-concert lecture by top scientist from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)
  • Archive Streaming format, accessible via PC
  • Available for two weeks with unlimited viewing during the period
  • Free of charge, but limited to in-hospital use under staff supervision

Viewing Guidelines:

  • To be viewed on a large screen under the supervision of hospital staff
  • Intended for group viewing in hospital wards or lounges
  • Kindly refrain from streaming the event in outpatient waiting areas or on personal devices and individual residential settings

Streaming Period: from Monday, 6 October, to Sunday, 19 October 2025

  1. Organisational Members of the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network wishing to participate are welcome to contact our association directly (see below for contact info).
  1. Viewing instructions and the access URL will be provided by the Hayabusa Symphony Orchestra Running Committee (comprising of university students and young medical professionals) by email.

After the concert: feedback is deeply appreciated

We kindly ask participating wards to share:

  • Feedback or impressions from patients, their families, or staff
  • Photos of the viewing setting, if possible

Purpose of collecting this information ~ with your prior consent ~

  • For activity reports to give back to all participating institutions
  • To promote awareness on the importance of palliative care on our official websites
  • For the concert program – to share awareness in the concert hall as well

We understand that concepts and methods of palliative care vary across countries and regions.
However, we sincerely hope that, through this musical sharing, we may provide even a moment of peace, joy, or emotional vacation — something that lifts the spirit.
