Remembering Prof Cynthia Goh — A Legacy That Endures

Today, 13 February 2026, we remember Prof Cynthia Goh on the fourth anniversary of her passing.

A pioneer of hospice and palliative care in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific, Prof Goh transformed the way we care for those facing serious illness. Her leadership was visionary, her advocacy unwavering, and her compassion deeply personal. Through her work, countless patients and families found comfort, dignity, and hope.

Her legacy continues to guide our mission — to ensure that palliative care is accessible, compassionate, and rooted in humanity.

In honour of Prof Goh’s enduring light, we are once again offering our publication, to let the light in, free of charge*.

Inspired by her love for poetry and reflection, this collection brings together 111 poems from patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and poets across the Asia Pacific. Written in 11 languages (with English translations), the anthology gently explores one of our most universal experiences — the journey of life before death.

As Prof Goh once shared, poetry allows us to pause amidst life’s busyness — to feel, to reflect, and to see more clearly the many facets of the human experience.
