We are honoured to have Dr Gemma Aburn from New Zealand to speak on this topic.

Dr Aburn is a Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Palliative Care at Starship Child Health in Auckland, New Zealand. Gemma also holds an academic appointment in the School of Nursing at the University of Auckland. Gemma has a background in children’s oncology nursing, and undergraduate nursing education. She has recently completed her PhD in Nursing, exploring the experiences of staff working in children’s blood and cancer centres in New Zealand, with a particular focus on how staff maintain resilience in their work.  This presentation will explore the findings of Gemma’s doctoral research.
