Notice of the 24th Annual General Meeting of Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN)
Dear APHN Member,
Notice is hereby given that APHN will be holding its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 15 June 2024, Saturday at 1300 to 1400hrs (Japan Time, GMT +9) in person at Kobe Convention Centre, Minatojima-nakamachi, Chuo-ku, Kobe-shi, Hyogo, 650-0046, Japan. The AGM will be in conjunction with the Joint Meeting of the 29th Congress of the Japanese Society for Palliative Medicine and the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Japan Psycho-Oncology Society. The agenda of the AGM is as follows:

- Welcome by the Chair, Dr Ednin Hamzah
- To adopt the minutes of the 23rd Annual General Meeting held on 6 October 2023.
- To adopt the Annual Report for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
- To adopt the Audited Accounts for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
- To re-appoint Bestar Assurance PAC as the external auditors for the financial year 2024.
- Announcement of elected 24th Council Members

Important Notes:
Both Individual Members and Organisational Members can nominate a member for the Council Election, but only Ordinary Organisational Members are eligible to vote.
In accordance with the Constitution of APHN, only Ordinary Organisational Members have voting rights at General Meetings (Article 7). However, the Organisational Member shall be represented at the meeting by its duly appointed representative who is an Individual Member ordinarily residing in the same sector as the Organisational Member (Article 11.7). The form to appoint a representative must be submitted to the APHN Secretariat Office and received no later than 31 May 2024, 2 weeks before the AGM.
This form will be emailed to the eligible Organisational Members. If you did not receive it, please email secretariat@aphn.org.
Any member may submit questions and place an item on the agenda of the AGM but it must be submitted to the Secretariat Office and received no later than 31 May 2024. All substantial and relevant questions will be addressed by the Council and/or management prior to the AGM. These questions will be addressed on the APHN website or at the AGM.
