24 January, 2022 - 23 May, 2022
The Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN) and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) will be launching an 8-week session of palliative care training for the BSMMU MD students. The objective of the training mainly focuses on how to treat patients using real cases from the hospital. We hope the MD students will be able to learn much more through the case discussions with this multi-disciplinary approach. At the end of the 8-week training, we hope to equip the MD students with a better practical experience in treating patients covering topics like cancer and neuropathic pain control, use of opioids, treatment of breathlessness, intestinal obstruction, dealing with psychosocial issues and delivering difficult conversations.
Training Period: 24 Jan -23 May 2022
Occurrence: Every 2nd and 4th Monday
This training programme is exclusive to the BSMMU MD students only.
