Professor Ian Maddocks had been an APHN member since we were registered as a charity in 2001.
Internationally renowned palliative care specialist Professor Ian Maddocks AM, 2013’s Senior Australian of the Year 2013, is visiting the Tweed region in New South Wales’ Northern Rivers on November 28.
Professor Maddocks will be speaking at the Wedgetail Retreat hospice just outside Murwillumbah, which is run by the local not-for-profit Tweed Palliative Support (TPS).
The charity is also announcing the official opening date of the retreat – a purpose-built education, respite and live-in hospice facility which will be run by trained nurses and supported by TPS Volunteer carers from mid-February…read more
