RSTS & APHN Bursary 2021 Application OPEN!

Dear APHN members,

The Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN) is inviting applications for the Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship (RSTS) and APHN Bursaries for delegates attending the 14th Asia Pacific Hospice Conference (Online) on 13-14 Nov 2021.

*Applications will be processed through a centralised portal. The selection committee of APHN will shortlist one awardee for the scholarship and 10 awardees for the bursaries.

Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship

What is being offered: 1 Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship – fully paid registration fee, either doctor or non-doctor capped at 15,000 yen (SGD183)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a current individual member of APHN
  • Nomination supported by 2 other APHN members
  • Display leadership qualities and works in a palliative care service
  • Contribution to palliative care development in your country of work or residence
  • Must submit an abstract for the APHC
  • Must submit a report on the benefits of attendance within 3 months after attending APHC
  • Has not received any grants from APHN for the past 5 years
  • Preference will be given to members who have not received sponsorship of any kind for attending regional and international palliative care conferences.

APHN Bursaries for Doctors

What is being offered:

  •  10 bursaries are available
  • Amount of each bursary capped at 10,000 yen (SGD122)
  • Only applicable for doctors from developing countries*
