Come join us for our fifth session of our 2026 Webinar Series! This time our topic will be on ‘Palliative Care in Advance Care Planning’ held on 29 October 2026 (Wed), 2:30-4:00 pm (Singapore time). It will be a live 1.5 hour session on Zoom with a Q&A segment at the end with the speakers.
For this session, we are honoured to have Dr Masanori Mori (Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital, Japan) and Dr Cheng-Pei Lin (College of Nursing, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan) as our speakers!
Speaker Bio
Dr. Masanori Mori is the Director of the Division of Palliative and Supportive Care at Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital in Hamamatsu, Japan. His research interests include symptom management, clinician–patient communication, and advance care planning (ACP), particularly within Asian cultural contexts. He has served as Principal Investigator for several national and international research projects, including a Delphi study on ACP in Asia and the East Asian cross-cultural collaborative Study to Elucidate the Dying Process (EASED). He has also contributed to the development of clinical practice guidelines on cancer dyspnea, palliative sedation, clinician–patient communication, and ACP. Dr. Mori is an active member of several academic societies, including the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN), where he serves as Co-Vice Chair.
Cheng-Pei Lin is an oncology nurse and palliative care researcher from Taiwan. He is an associate professor in nursing at the Institute of Community Health Care, College of Nursing, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. His research interests focus on end-of-life care, advance care planning, palliative care, and global palliative care evaluation. He is a member of various academic societies, including the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN, research committee board member) and Advance Care Planning International (board member). He is the principal investigator of a project to develop an advance care planning program for the community of older people with chronic illnesses and patients living with chronic kidney diseases, funded by the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan.
